Persona Taboo: Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
Persona Taboo (“the App”, “the Game”) is a party guessing game published by
EnkiGames (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the App
handles, how it is used, and the third-party services involved. By using the App you
agree to this policy.
Information you actively provide
The App only stores information when you choose to submit it:
-
Display name. A name you type to join a game. It is shown to other
players in the same game and on the scoreboard. It is not required to be your real name.
-
Daily Play results. If you play the optional Daily Play mode, we store
your display name, your score, how many rounds you solved and how long you took. This is
shown to everyone as a public leaderboard for that day. We keep it for about 48 hours and
then delete it automatically. Playing Daily Play is the only way this happens. Every other
mode keeps your name in memory only.
-
Feedback. If you use the optional “Send feedback” box, we store the
text you write, along with the score for that session and the date and time. We do
not store your display name with it, and we do not attach any device
identifier or account to it. Feedback is anonymous.
-
Difficult-word reports. If you flag words as “difficult” at the end of
a game, we store which words you flagged, along with the score, game language, and the
date and time, never your display name.
Information we do NOT collect
- We do not require you to create an account or provide an email address, phone number, or password.
- We do not collect your real name, contacts, photos, location, or files.
- Our own game servers do not log device identifiers alongside your feedback.
- Outside Daily Play, we never write your display name to a file or database. It lives only in server memory for the length of a game.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google
and its partners may collect and process device information such as advertising identifiers,
IP address, and app-interaction data. This processing is governed by Google’s policies, not
ours:
Ads appear as a full-screen ad on the game-over screen, not during play. We do not control
the specific ads shown or the data Google collects to serve them.
How we use the information
- To run the game (show your display name and score to other players in your session, for the length of that game).
- To show the Daily Play leaderboard, if you choose to play that mode.
- To read your feedback and improve the game.
- To identify words players find too hard and adjust the word library.
We do not sell your information. We do not use it for profiling beyond the advertising described above.
Data retention
Live game state (display names, scores) exists only in server memory during a game and is
discarded when the game ends or the server restarts. Daily Play is the one exception. A
Daily Play result is written to a database so the leaderboard can be shown, and it is
deleted automatically after about 48 hours. Feedback and difficult-word reports are appended
to simple log files, and may be delivered to a third-party service we use to receive them,
without any name attached. They are kept only for as long as they are useful for improving
the game.
Children
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. Because
it displays third-party ads, we do not knowingly target or collect information from children.
If you believe a child has provided information through the feedback box, contact us and we
will remove it.
Your choices
- Providing a display name, feedback, and difficult-word flags is entirely optional (a name is needed only to join a game).
- You can reset your device’s advertising identifier or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings.
-
Deletion. Because we store nothing that identifies you, there is normally
nothing to delete. If you want a specific piece of feedback you sent removed, email
enkigames.info@gmail.com with roughly when you sent it and what it said,
and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the
latest version.
